A View From The Other Side is a documentary series created by the American Paranormal Research Association in order to document their investigations as well as to highlight the colorful history of historical locations throughout the united states and the paranormal activity that may take place. We hope as we progress in our knowledge of the field and gain expertiese with various instruments and methods these documentaries will be a learning tool for other investigators and people interested in the field.

WHAT: Lectures and workshops on ghost hunting, evidence collection and evidence review. Followed by the reveal of recent paranormal findings at both houses and the opportunity to investigate them for yourself.

We are back with another Experimental Case Log !!! This time we have provided some uncommon terms used to describe natural phenomena & certain types of Haunting’s.

We will start off with natural explanation’s for paranormal activity:

1 ) Cerebral Anoxia: The medical term for a lack of oxygen flowing to the brain, which sometimes triggers sensory distortions & hallucinations. Some believe it to be the physical means by which phenomena such as near-death experiences & out-of-body episodes might be rationally explained.

Cerebral Anoxia is something I have not seen taken into account when it comes to certain types of phenomena such as NDE’s & Out of body experiences. The brain can be very powerful !!

2) Temporal Lobe Activity: Electrical activity in the temporal lobes of the brain. Temporal lobe activity is often associated with strange sensations, time distortions & hallucinations. It is sometimes used as an explanation for seemingly paranormal experiences such as apparitions.

Temporal Lobe Activity could explain away about 60% of apparition sightings, this is something that is needed to be taken into account when working with a client or any form of witness statements and experiences.

Now a few terms used to describe various apparitions & Haunting’s:

1) Grey Ladies: The Ghost’s of women who are said to have died violently for the sake of love or thorough the heartless actions of a family member or loved one. They frequently appear in grey, but they can also appear in white, black & brown. Grey ladies appear all over the world, often in connection with poltergeist activity.

This specific type of phenomena was documented by A.P.R.A. while working on the Wilkins House case in 2006-2007. You may view the footage of a documented Grey Lady haunting at www.apraparanormal.com/video.html .

2) White Ladies: Type of ghost found in British castles and old houses. They are often the spirit of noblewomen who were murdered or died in tragic circumstances.

The Green Hotel was built in 1913 by the Kern County Land Company to house prospective buyers.  It is one of the few remaining buildings which represent the era of the Kern County Land Company & is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  We will spend two nights investigating this historic hotel in the hopes of determining whether or not there may be paranormal activity there.

During the second half of our show, Alfredo Lopez & I will once again delve into the dark world of the demonic as we explore the warning signs of demonic possession.  We will discuss the similarities between some of the symptoms of possession & those of mental illness and how to determine whether an exorcism is needed or if therapy & medication would be more appropriate.  We will also take a look at the process of exorcism & the differences between exorcism & deliverance.
